History of Springdale Yoga
Experience of unglaciated countryside of southwestern Wisconsin
Springdale Yoga was constructed in Summer 2005. It was built on a 100-year old farm located between Verona and Mt. Horeb. Students have been coming here since June 2003, when Margie began teaching yoga in her vacated “dining room”.
Students say that just turning down the quarter-mile long road
they begin to experience the yogic feelings of calm and peacefulness. Students who live in the cities are delighted to stop and watch the flocks of wild turkey and the deer nibbling in the corn fields along the road—even bringing their cameras to stop and take pictures. Owls and hawks can be spotted in the trees too.
The little farm road to Springdale Yoga can even be found on the state of Wisconsin highway map—it belongs to the Township of Springdale who maintains it throughout the year. So the parking lot and road are plowed and sanded in winter and grated in the summer after heavy rains.
At the top of the road you will see the Springdale Yoga mailbox, which the snow plows has hit three times this winter! When you pull into the parking lot, you can spot the "Welcome to Springdale Yoga" sign outside the studio door.
Yes, a turkey at the door of Springdale Yoga! -->
