Wednesday morning 10:30 a.m-11:45 a.m.
Margie Wilsman, Instructor
This can be a temporary class to attend after an accident, surgery or serious illness, or it may be your class of choice is you have permanent limitations in activities, flexibility and movement.
The class has a slow pace and long transitions between poses. You will be invited to “try” to get into the pose angles, no pushing or over exerting. In poses you will be provided lots of propping to make them comfortable. We will stay in the poses for shorter periods of time. Each class will contain fewer poses, and you will not go into the deepest alignments in some poses. Many substitute poses will be available when a pose if not appropriate for you at a particular time.
One goal of the class is to empower you to do your own home yoga practice. The slower pace will provide you with the opportunity to experience each pose several times and decide if it is appropriate to add to your Home Practice.
At the end of the series you may want to take the series again the next time, which is OK. Or as you improve you can enroll in Continuing Yoga classes. If you want private sessions, Embodyment® is recommended.
Each class starts and ends in yoga’s relaxation pose, Shavasana.
